What is Meditation?

Meditation is the art of looking inside and discovering one’s own inner being. Socrates guiding rule was “Know Thyself”. These words are of eternal significance. Such an important and meaningful advice.

By practicing meditation we become intimate with the workings of our mind. We learn to use our mind instead of being used by it.

Meditation leads us not only to totally new inner experiences, but helps us also to transform our day to day life into a more meaningful and more fulfilling existence.

This is a deceptive simple practice, but it has the power to uncover your wisdom and intelligence and connect you with your own courage, strength and insight.

When things change though we would prefer stability, when we feel out of control of events, and above all when we want a quality of happiness that is not so fragile, so depending of shifting conditions, we can rely on meditation to help us to bring courage, resilience and loving kindness to the inevitable challenges of life.

Meditation is for everyone, it is not about becoming model meditators, but it is a journey of learning how just to be, to enjoy who we are and to be grateful for the life that we have.
